Business Location: Teltow-Fläming District
According to the Prognos institute, Teltow-Fläming has been one of Eastern Germany’s most successful regions for years. The district has crafted its image through extensive investments in the infrastructure, the commitment of major private companies such as Daimler, MTU, Rolls-Royce or ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik, and the presence of various industrial parks and facilities such as Biotechnologiepark Luckenwalde, Berlin Süd freight village (Grossbeeren), Schönhagen airfield and the Baruth wood expertise center.
Today, Teltow-Fläming is one of the most important locations in Germany for the aerospace industry and occupies top positions in the biotechnology as well as in the automotive and wood industries. Moreover, the Flaeming-Skate - a skate center with a total length of 250 kilometers located in the south of the district - has become Europe’s number one skating facilities in no time at all.
A network of SMEs supported by a variety of actors involved in promoting Brandenburg’s economy has been operating in Teltow-Fläming since 2004 and currently includes 1,700 companies.
