Brandenburg an der Havel: an independent town and a important business location
Brandenburg an der Havel is the region’s third largest town and one of its regional growth areas. It is only a thirty-minute drive from Berlin and lies right on the A2 and A10 autobahns. A waterway and a trans-European railroad also serve the town. The future Berlin-Brandenburg International Airport (BBI) is only half an hour away and several international industrial and trade centers are easily accessible via a variety of routes. The handling of goods within the town benefits from modern harbor installations with separate sidings.
Brandenburg an der Havel is a town with a long industrial tradition. Rail technology and steel production still play a key role, and the town remains one of the leading industrial hubs in Eastern Germany, with several international companies operating plants here. Moreover, Brandenburg an der Havel is well-placed for the future with its institute of technology and excellent network infrastructure.
There is scarcely a location that offers better living and working conditions as Brandenburg an der Havel. The thousand-year-old town is surrounded by Europe’s largest interconnected lake ensemble and is to host the national garden show in 2015.
