Reorientation of Brandenburg’s business promotion:
Concentration on growth sectors and locations
Financial support and development of new technologies are directed at growth sectors. Especially regional growth centres and sector-specific infrastructure are promoted.
Four new promotion guidelines have been introduced in 2006. The new support system was also incorporated into the federal state innovation concept 2006, as well as the new federal state tourism concept.
New guidelines for the promotion of investments, technologies and infrastructure
According to the „Growth programme for Brandenburg’s medium-sized enterprises“, medium-sized businesses receive the highest support for investments – up to 2.5 mio. Euro. Up to July 2006, allowances for 208 medium-sized investment projects amounting to ca. 43 mio. Euro were granted. This leads to further investments of approximately 137 mio. Euro as well as the establishment of more than 570 new workplaces and 120 apprenticeship training positions.
